LUMINARSPHERE

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 2026 · Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what information Luminarsphere™ Inc. collects, why, and what choices you have. The short version: our measurement sessions are anonymous by design, and the only personal information we hold is what you give us directly when you contact us or become a customer.

The core commitment

We do not collect personal information from session participants. When you wear a Molaband™ during a session, we do not ask for or record your name, email address, date of birth, address, or any account identifier. Devices are assigned a session-scoped token that is not linked to your identity. This is an architectural property of the system, not a policy we apply after the fact.

1.Who we are

Luminarsphere™ Inc., a Delaware corporation operating from San Marcos, California, is the controller of personal information described in this policy. Contact: oadegoke@luminarsphere.com.

3.How session data works

During a measured session, each device streams a pulse signal to a local Luminarsphere™ compute node under the control of the session. The system derives heart-rate-variability measures for each device and for the group. Devices are identified only by a token scoped to that session.

If you choose to view an individual report, access is provided through a link or code issued for that session. Choosing to view a report does not add your identity to the record.

Venues and facilitators receive group-level reporting about the session. During a live session, a facilitator may also see per-device signals on an operator screen — shown only as session-scoped tokens, never as names or accounts. We do not provide venues or facilitators with identified individual physiological data, and no identity is stored at any point.

We retain de-identified session data to operate and improve the platform, and to support research, in accordance with any applicable agreement.

4.Research use

Where sessions form part of a research study, that study is conducted under the ethics or institutional review board approval of the research institution responsible, with its own consent process. Research participation is separate from ordinary use of our platform and is described to participants at the time. Where a study requires linkage between measurements and individual characteristics, a study-specific coded identifier design is used, with the key held by the research institution rather than by Luminarsphere.

5.How we use information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use your information to serve you advertising.

6.Service providers

We use a limited number of third parties to run our business — for example cloud hosting and storage, website hosting, email, form and scheduling tools, and payment processing. They process information on our instructions and are bound to protect it. We may also disclose information where required by law, or in connection with a corporate transaction, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.

7.Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and to meet legal and accounting requirements. Enquiry correspondence is kept for a reasonable period to maintain continuity of conversation. De-identified session data, which does not identify any individual, may be retained indefinitely for platform development and research.

8.Security

We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including access controls, encryption in transit, and a data architecture that avoids collecting identifiers in the first place. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot warrant absolute security.

9.Your rights

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither); to limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it); and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

UK, EU and other jurisdictions. Where applicable law provides them, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority.

To exercise any right, email oadegoke@luminarsphere.com. We will verify your request and respond within the period required by applicable law. Note that because session measurements are not linked to identity, we are generally unable to locate or retrieve session data associated with a particular individual — and we consider that a feature of the design.

10.Cookies and analytics

Our websites use only what is necessary to serve pages and keep them secure. Where we use analytics to understand which pages are useful, we configure it to avoid collecting information that identifies you. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide any consent mechanism required by law.

11.International transfers

We are based in the United States and information we hold is processed there. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, and we will apply appropriate safeguards where required by law.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above indicates the current version, and we will give prominent notice of material changes.
